Who do you think you are?
I'm not coming from a place of judgement,
like you're holier than me.
I'm asking, "Who do you really and literally think you are?"
You've heard people say it,
"I'm just who I am,"
Which often is an excuse for bad behavior.
Where others over identify with their
Personality,
Trauma,
or Career.
Who you are is none of those things.
But the ego needs something to hold on to.
It creates an image of who you are.
Like when the crew from the Nebuchadnezzar
gets inserted into the Matrix,
they get to pick how they appear.
Who do you think you are?
In your mind, how do you appear?
In coaching, we help our clients deal with
four major areas:
-Limiting Beliefs (a belief that holds you back)
-Assumptions (because it happened it will happen again)
-Interpretations (one has to go to college to be succssful)
-Gremlins (that voice that says you're not enough).
Each of these are whispers that tell you who you are.
The reality is, they're all made up.
They're not real.
And you can decide what you want to believe.
You can change your beliefs.
And you can change who you think you are.
There are times in our lives where that's easier to do.
One would be early, like in college.
The other?
Midlife, as you begin your Second Half.
Do you want to live the dream?
And reinvent yourself,
and change who it is you believe you are?
